Kathy and Natasha spent a fantastic evening on Monday mingling, chatting and promoting the Irish Pensioners’ Choir at the Irish Heritage 2015/16 Season Launch.
They were able to meet and chat to some great like minded people in connection with Irish Heritage, Culture and promotion and support of Irish Arts and Music, as well as hear all about the very exciting up and coming Irish Heritage Season which will include none other than our very own Irish Pensioners’ Choir! (stay tuned for more information about this coming soon…)
Other events in the Irish Heritage calendar include a Fundraising Golf Event in October, and Percussion Counterpoint in November. 2016 will focus on marking the centenary of the 1916 Rising with concerts that include A Century of Song and Opera in Ireland and Guns and Drums presented by Royal Irish Academy of Music, in collaboration with Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Julliard School, New York. Please visit the Irish Heritage website for more details on these, and other events.
The Night included interviews with young musicians and composers who have been helped and supported in their careers by Irish Heritage,
and beautiful, moving performances of Danny Boy by violinist Patrick Rafter and My Lagan Love by French Horn player Peter Ryan.
Thank you to Jean Kelly and to Niall Gallagher for the invitation to join Irish Heritage for this lovely evening of mingling and music, and to be part of the upcoming season. We here at the Irish Elders Culture office and Irish Pensioners’ Choir are very excited to be part of it and can’t wait to get started on rehearsals and learning new repertoire!
