First Irish Pensioners’ Choir rehearsal with Natasha Lohan was a huge success!

On Monday 14th September the Irish Pensioners’ Choir came together for their first rehearsal after the summer break, along with their new choir leader Natasha Lohan. The atmosphere was buzzing, with everyone being very excited to catch up and recount stories of their summers and looking forward to getting back into fine voice!

The rehearsal was a great success, everyone has immediately warmed to Natasha with her excellent vocal talents, humorous interjections and encouraging rehearsal technique. The seeds of something magical have definitely been sown.

Songs such as Galway Bay and Peggy Gordon were trialed (bravo to the men for gallantly agreeing to sing solos!), as well as the challenging Bean Phaidin – a big thank you to native Irish speakers Barbara Carroll and Anne Morrissey for helping us with the words.
